Pork sale

Part of our commitment to nose to tail farming is that we have lots of noses and tails, as well as things like bones, back fat, skin, feet, and heads.

These underrated and historically important cuts are the basis of broth, stock, soup, stews, lard/baked goods, soaps, and head cheese.

To make them more accessible, we're temporarily reducing the price on pork bones, back fat, feet, skin, and heads to $3/lb with a minimum purchase of 10 lbs. At least 1/2 off.

Help us get ready for a busy market season and clear out some of our freezers. Contact us through any means for orders!

OMG pork

Remember last year when we ran out of pork in July? Oops. We were (delightfully) overwhelmed with COVID-related demand and sold out much faster than we were expecting.

This year we planned for and have raised many more pigs and that means as we head into market season, we have so much pork! We have all our cuts in our freezers now, so we can provide anything you’ve been missing (kielbasa! chops! bacon!) and fulfill meat box orders.

Farmers markets

We’ll be doing the same three farmers markets we did last year:

Tolland Farmers Market at the Country Butcher in Tolland, Connecticut. We do every other Saturday starting May 8 from 10am to noon.

Popup farm stand at Assawaga Farm in Putnam, Connecticut. We do every other Sunday starting June 6 from 9am to 1pm.

Sturbridge Farmers Market on the green in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. We do every other Sunday starting June 13 from 9am to 1pm.

Sheepskins

Our Icelandic sheepskins from last fall’s lambs are back and they are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. We had record wool growth last year, so the wool length on the tanned sheepskins ranges from 3” to an unheard of 16” long! The hides are naturally tanned using vegetable tannins (no harsh chemicals). Check them out on our website under “Wool Products.”
